Spongebob Squarepants is 10 years old!

“Spongebob Squarepants” will be turning 10 years old this weekend. For the event, Nickelodeon will be airing a mega-marathon of episodes and 7 new episodes. VH1 is actually doing a special on the absorbent one too!

I think I first discovered SB in 2001 when my kid was 2. It might have been a year or two later but it was love at first site for both of us. Spongebob is a sweet guy. He means no harm to people and he just wants to be everybody’s friend. Patrick is his best friend. He’s a dumb starfish, but he’s a good starfish.

We’ve seen every episode a million times. I have a few favorite. One is “Frankendoodle” when a drawing a Spongebob wreaks havoc on Bikini Bottom. Any show with Plankton, the little peice of crap who wants to steal the crabbie patty formula and “RULE THE WORLD” is a good episode. I love that guy!
