Ryan Murphy: Glee and Nip/Tuck both have terrific casting

GLEE makes me happy. I spent the past few days watching Season One and I find myself singing more, humming more and wanting to break out into song and dance. I was a big fan of Ryan Murphy’s Nip/Tuck and I see much of the same humor and phenomonal character development in Glee. I always felt N/T lost it’s mojo after a few seasons. Was that because Murphy was busy casting and writing Glee? I don’t care. N/T had a few great seasons and introduced me to some wonderful actors. Julian McMahon was the first actor I actually ever googled because I wanted to learn more about this gorgeous actor.

Finishing Season 1 of Glee brought tears to my eyes. Well, a cold wind could bring a tear to my eye but the Glee club singing To Sir With Love (with Sue watching) was emotional on many different levels.

I think Ryan Murphy’s greatest strength is his terrific casting. In N/T Season 1, the villian was played by Robert LaSardo and all these years later I still remember him and now recognize him in older roles and new roles. I also see great casting in Glee. Lovable Kristen Chenoweth and Stephen Tobolowski have recurring roles that always make me laugh and highlight their great talents.

The young people are all unknowns and their talent surpasses many famous recording artists/entertainers. They are not polished and marketed all pretty but seem like real people, real kids, real representatives of people we all know.

Ryan Murphy is a genius and I want to thank him for the hours of entertainment he’s brought into my life!

I finally found a reason to blog about Lady Gaga

I first heard about this story while driving home from work. My usual political personality was talking about Jerry Seinfeld calling Lady GaGa a Jerk. One thing I should tell you about this radio personality, he uses Lady Gaga music as his bumper (every hour, in fact, for the rest of my life I will always think of Karel when I hear that song) and is “a big old homo.” (his words). His opinion about this was a bit different than some of the mainstream medias view. I think Lady Gaga is trying too hard to be Madonna. In my opinion, she has more talent than Madonna but maybe she could tone it down at a sporting event. She seems to insist on being the center-of-attention every where she goes.

Jerry Seinfeld Calls Lady Gaga A ‘Jerk’ After Mets Game Behavior

Jerry Seinfeld is calling out Lady Gaga for her crude conduct at a New York Mets game after the diva took refuge from paparazzi in his private box at Citi Field.

Gaga stirred up headlines when she appeared at the June 10 baseball game in a befuddling outfit (a leather jacket draped over a black bikini) and held court from her front-row seat. When fans and photogs noticed her presence, they began snapping shots of the pop star. Gaga was not in a pic-taking mood, however, and started giving the flashbulbs the finger and moved to a private box to escape the attention. Turns out, the box belongs to Seinfeld.

“You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we’re living in now?” Seinfeld sounded off in an interview with WFAN radio, the New York Post reports. reports. “This woman is a jerk. I hate her. I can’t believe they put her in my box, which I paid for.”

Seinfeld also added that he didn’t know that the pop star usurped his box until he showed up later on for a night game.

“I don’t know what these young people think or how they promote their careers,” said Seinfeld, slamming the diva’s rowdy antics. “I’m not one of these all-publicity-is-good people. People talk about ‘You need exposure’ — you could die of exposure.”

While she hasn’t responded to Seinfeld’s scolding just yet, Gaga did take to her Twitter page a day after the public got wind of her rambunctious behavior. “A middle finger is more New York than a corporate ambush. I bleed for my hometown, and I’d die for my fans.”
